FERRARA, Salvatore passed away on July 19, 2022. He was 90 years old.
Originally from Hoboken and Jersey City, Sal lived in Rutherford for 50 years before residing in Morris Plains.
Prior to his retirement he worked for UPS. Sal was a Korean War Veteran. He was elected and served on the Rutherford Schools Board of Education, served on The Rutherford Taxpayers Association and was a self-taught computer wiz and Ham Radio Operator (KA2QHH). He loved to cook, listen to classical music and watch TV.

Sal is pre-deceased by his wife of 62 years Charlotte (nee-Terrace), his son Frank, his grandson Anthony Ferrara, his sisters Rita Ward of CA and Marie Dailey of WA. He is survived by his son Charles of Plainfield; his daughters Lynn Stanton and her husband Tim of Morris Plains and Laura Raith and her husband Vincent of Rutherford; his sister Carole Napier of Oregon and many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Alicia Ferrara-Fernandes, Timothy Stanton Jr. (TJ), Julia Raith, and Emily Stanton.
