Obituaries » Gerald 'Chris' Horton
Gerald “Chris” Horton passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 17th 2022.
Those who knew Gerald could always expect a big smile, a huge wave and a story or two and advice about almost anything. There are so many words to describe Gerald – kind, helpful, loving, generous,
protector and best friend, are just a few. He had an infectious spirit that made being around him a joy and always a good time.
Gerald was born and raised in Queens, NY. He spent his adult years serving in the NYC Police Department before retiring. This was a job that spoke to the soul of who he was – always in service and
willing to help others.
After retiring from NYPD, Gerald spent his time as a full time Dad to his two sons. Whether he was dropping them off or picking them up from school or attending one of their many sports activities, his sons were his pride and joy. His love, compassion and care for his family – Nicole, Adam FritzGerald and Brandon Christopher was unwavering.
While he had many sayings that he shared in our home, he frequently reminded us that no matter what we are dealing with – “We are Horton’s – we are Warriors.”
We love you Honey, Dad, Gerald “Chris” – you will be missed by your family and many friends.
Another angel just got it’s wings . . .
