Thaddeus A. Razmus (Teddy) passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022, peacefully at his home. He was 79.
He was born in Passaic and grew up in East Paterson, where he met the love of his life, Sharen, at the Record Hop. He moved to Parsippany in 1967 with his wife and two daughters, Dina and Cheri.
Teddy proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1963. He remained in the reserves during the Vietnam War era before being honorably discharged in 1966.
Teddy was a Journeyman Wireman Electrician and a member of the IBEW Union Local 102 (formerly IBEW Local 581) in Parsippany.
He completed his apprenticeship at the top of his class. He worked for Nordling & Dean as a General Foreman and was proud to mentor apprentices and journeymen.
In the last few years of his Union career, he worked as the in-house electrician at Warner Lambert in Morris Plains. After he retired, he continued to work as a property manager for several local realtors and private clients.
Teddy and his family were members of Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church for many years, where he served as a Trustee. His faith was very important to him.
He was an avid drag racer, and built several race cars, including his beloved red 1967 Nova, RAZOOM, which he raced at Island Dragway, Raceway Park, Maple Grove and Atco Dragway.
Teddy was a friendly, kind man, who made a lasting impact on everyone he interacted with. He was a born leader with a great work ethic. He guided and mentored many people throughout his lifetime.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years, Sharen M. (nee-Pinello), his daughters: Dina Knox & her husband, Kerin Hopkins; Cheryl Knox & her husband, Troy; his sister, Susan Zarcone & her husband Jim. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Elizabeth Knox & her husband, Alexis Davila; Troy Knox, II; Meredith Knox & Trevor Knox.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany. (973) 887-3235 or visit www.partroyfuneralhome.com. Visiting hours are from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and a memorial service with military honors & presentation of the flag begins at 7:20 pm. Cremation: Private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to Bibles in Schools at www.biblesinschools.org.
