Doris C. (nee-Carpenter) Roscoe passed away on January 8, 2022 at the Troy-Hills Center. She was 96.

Doris was born on October 18, 1925 in Newark to Earle Carpenter and Anna Miklos. She later moved to New Vernon where she would reside for 73 years.

She was a secretary for many years for New Jersey Bell retiring in 1986. In retirement she volunteered for 20 years as a tax preparer for seniors. She will be remembered as an amazing cook, baker and hostess for many family gatherings.

Doris is predeceased by her parents, Earle Carpenter and Anna Miklos, her step-father, Charles Yerbury and her sisters, Isabella Carpenter, Ruth “Patsy” Connor, Katherine “Kitty” Newmark and Florence “Jake” Swetz.

Survivors include: her beloved husband of 73 years, William H. Roscoe, her sons, Jeff Roscoe and John “Jack” Roscoe and his wife, Rosemari, her daughter, Susan Dawson, her sister, Irene Kral and her husband, Robert, her grandchildren, Megan Adams, Ryan Roscoe and Melissa Abalos and her husband Adjay, her great-grandson, Alex Adams, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 froma 10:00am to 11:00am with a funeral service at 11:00am at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany (973)887-3235. Interment: New Vernon Cemetery, Harding.
