Joseph Paul Guttilla, 78, of Ocean City NJ passed away on December 25th, 2021 after a battle with cancer. Joseph was born on August 17th, 1943 to Kathryn and Paul Guttilla in East Orange, NJ, and joined his big brother, Salvatore to complete their family.

After graduation, he entered the Air Force and served as a loadmaster on a C130 before being honorably discharged as Airman First Class. After serving in the military, he began his career in the trucking industry, first as a driver and eventually started his own company, Chopper Express, Inc., a shipping and logistics company that supported over 600 employees. He built a successful business that inspired others and brought him pride later in his life when he enjoyed the simpler things.

In 1976, he married Peggy Strauss and had two beloved children, Irene and Joanna. Though they were divorced in 1991, they still maintained a good relationship and shared memories into recent years.
Through his life, he put his whole self into everything he did, both personally and professionally. He was memorable to all who met him, and was always the life of the party. He was known for his lifelong friendships, and outgoing personality.
