Obituaries » Sara C. (nee-Hayes) Reinhardt

Sara C. (nee-Hayes) Reinhardt passed away on December 26, 2021 at Regency Grande Post-Acute Nursing Center. She was 80.

She was born on August 21, 1941 in Newark to Hugh Hayes and Vera Lingenfelter and grew up in East Orange before moving to Parsippany 55 years ago.

When people meet they often talk about their interests and hobbies… in their words things that make them happy or fulfilled in life. For Sara, Sam or Sammy (as she was fondly referred to by her dear friends,) it was different.

It was all about service…. Service to all those she either loved or cared for. Throughout her long and dedicated career as a registered nurse, Sara possessed both the acumen and business relationship skills to contribute to all walks of life for the greater good.

From saving people’s lives on the detox unit to saving them money during her career in case management, she would be immediately engaged in their needs, no matter what was going on in her life.

She was a consummate care giver with a sense of industry matched by no other.

She put her heart and soul into all her work and created a clinical environment of wellness and caring.

However, the most important thing for Sara was always family.

In retirement, she spent as much time as she could with her beloved grandchildren.

From going to the zoo, or park, or out to lunch, she would try and spend as much time as possible with them.

Sara is predeceased by her brother, Hugh Hayes.

Survivors include: her son, Scott J. Reinhardt, her daughter, KrisAnne Rosenzweig and her husband, Matt, her sister, Elaine Hayes and her two beloved grandchildren, Zachary and Cameron.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 10:30am at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 179 Baldwin Road, Parsippany. Cremation: Private. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society or Saint Peter the Apostle Church
