Joseph T. O’Bara passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown. He was 80.

Joseph was born and raised in Johnstown, PA before moving to Parsippany over 50 years ago.

He was a chemical engineer for Exxon Mobile in Florham Park for 40 years before retiring.

Joseph was an avid golfer and enjoyed many rounds of golf at the Mount Tabor Golf Club, where he was a member. He also enjoyed fishing and was a long-time member of the Parsippany-Troy Hills Elks Lodge #2078.

He was a loving JaJa (Polish for “grandfather”) to his grandson and grand-nephews. Joseph will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was pre-deceased by his brother, Thomas.

Survivors include his wife, Candida ‘Candy’ Starace-O’Bara; his children: Kathleen Cambria (O’Bara), Christopher and his wife, Eileen; his brother, Daniel and his wife, Ann; his sister, Dolores Ann Stroz and her husband, Joe; his grandson, Nicholas Robert Obara; his niece, Beth Gallagher and her husband, Jeff and their boys, Sean, Ethan, and Luke, as well as many other nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 10:00a.m. on Monday, November 29th, 2021, at the Par-Troy Funeral Home. 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany.
