Mary Ann (nee-Reilly) Cusack passed away on Tuesday June 19, 2018 surrounded by love. She was 74.

She was born and raised in Newark and graduated from St. James High school as Valedictorian.

Mary Ann moved to Parsippany in 1965 where she spent the rest of her life raising a family.

Mary Ann was a claims processor for Prudential in Parsippany for over twenty years.

Mary Ann always enjoyed helping others by volunteering her time as patient care support at St. Claire’s Hospital in Denville, as Hospice home care and family support and as a CCD Teacher at St. Christopher RC Church. Her desire to care for and comfort those around her turned into a second career in retirement as Nurse’s Aide at St. Claire’s Hospital.

Mary Ann took tremendous pride from being Grandma. She loved supporting her grandkids at special events and sports or just simply sharing a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream. No moment was ever too small for her to celebrate her kids.

She is pre deceased by her late husband: John David who passed away on 7/26/1992, her late daughter: Chistine M. Bassyouni who passed away on 9/16/2015, and her late brother: Thomas Reilly who passed away on 8/25/1999.

Survivors include her sons: John M. and his wife Cynthia; James W. and his wife Michele; and Matthew R. and his wife Jennifer; her sister: Esther Moschgat; her sister-in-law: Margaret Reilly, her son-in-law: Wahed A. Bassyouni, and her nine grandchildren.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 9:00a.m. from the Par-Troy Funeral Home. 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany. (973)887-3235. With the Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered at 10:00a.m at Saint Christopher R.C. Church, 1050 Littleton Road, Parsippany. Interment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
