James L. McGrory, 74 of Morris Plains passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife Annette and family members on Sunday May 6, 2018 at Morristown Memorial Hospital.

James was born in Newark, served in the United States Navy, was a graduate from Rutgers University and for many years worked as V.P. of First Fidelity Bank of Newark.

After leaving banking he became a realtor for Caldwell Banker and along with his beloved wife Annette they opened a nursery school in Stanhope called First Impressions until their retirement.

Jimmy was an all-around good guy. He loved being with family for gatherings and dinners. He and Annette also liked to vacation around the Outer Banks to see the wild horses.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Annette of 51 years, his sister Joyce Walsh, nephews, nieces, his sister-in-law Joanne Bruno Clark, his brother-in-law’s Dr. Louis Bruno and Vincent Clark, his two Aunts, many cousins, friends and those who helped him through his illness.

James visitation will be Sunday May 13, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany.
