John Stephen Romaniw passed away on Tuesday, May 1st, 2018 at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, surrounded by his loving family. He was 79 years old.

John was born and raised in New York City. He also lived in Jersey City and West Caldwell before moving to Parsippany in 2004.

John proudly served in the United States Army as a decoder at the Pentagon during the Korean War and was honorably discharged on July 31st, 1963.

He was Owner of J.S.R. Printing & Stationers in NYC for over 45 years before retiring in 2017.

He is survived by his loving wife Anne (nee, Lauer); his daughters Janine Husti, Juliann Kelly and her husband Tim, and Janis Romaniw-Davina; his brother William Christian; and his 8 grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his mother, Julia Romaniw (nee, Cherinko).

He enjoyed vacationing with his beautiful wife and family, visiting with friends, and attending the many sporting events of his grandchildren, with whom he had a special bond.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Notre Dame Church, 359 Central Ave., North Caldwell, NJ. Interment of Cremains to follow at Gate of Heaven, East Hanover.
