Linda S. (nee-Zar) Kaplan passed into eternity on Thursday, March 29, 2018.

Born in Brooklyn, NY. She married Stephen Kaplan and raised their family for 49 years in Parsippany.

She earned a Bachelor of Science Finance from William Patterson University and received her Master of Science in Taxation from Fairleigh Dickenson University.

A loving wife, mother and aunt, she was an Enrolled Agent, Auditor and Instructor for the IRS before retiring.

Linda enjoyed traveling. She toured 49 states, 10 European Countries, 6 Caribbean Countries and Canada almost coast to coast. She volunteered her time by crocheting purple baby hats for hospitals to help prevent shaken baby syndrome and made Blankets for Veterans. She also loved sewing and playing Mahjong.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen; her daughter, Deborah; her son, David; and her sister, Irene Henken; she is also survived by many other dear family members.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 27th 2018 from 12pm – 4pm at the Elks Lodge. 230 Parsippany Rd., Parsippany, NJ. Linda’s family kindly requests, in lieu of flowers, to send donations to Allegro. 60 East Hanover Ave., Morris Plains, NJ 07950 in her name. The family will be sitting Shiva at their home immediately following the celebration.
