Vincent J. DePalma, age 80, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville.
He was born and raised in West Paterson. He lived in Caldwell, Little Falls, and Oak Ridge before moving to Rockaway in December 1999.
Vincent proudly served his country in the United States Marines from 10/4/1953 until being honorably discharged on 9/6/1957.
He attended Passaic Valley High School in Little Falls and was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University.
He was an accountant for Smiths Industries in Florham Park for 30 years before retiring in 1983.
Vince is remembered for his musical talent and playing tenor saxophone at community affairs, in his church choir, and at the Fox Hills Adult Community in Rockaway.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Letitia A. (nee-Rowan); his sons: Vincent and Raymond; his daughter, Darlene Dobry; his brothers: Walter and Raymond; his sister, Elaine Walsh; and his 4 cherished grandchildren: Rachel DePalma, Mallory and Nicholas Dobry, and Randy DePalma.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. at Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany, 973-887-3235 or visit www.partroyfuneralhome.com. Concluding with an inurnment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, E. Hanover.
