Stella A. Dembek passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Morris View Nursing Home in Morris Township. She was 95.

She was born and raised in Helen, West Virginia. Stella also lived in East Orange and Nutley before moving to Parsippany 42 years ago.

Stella was a long-distance telephone operator and supervisor for AT&T in Morristown before retiring. Prior to that, she worked for Bell Telephone, which later became AT&T, and Westinghouse, both in Newark. She was also a member of St. Ann’s Church Seniors and worked for the Parsippany Board of Elections for numerous years.

Survivors include her loving nieces and nephews: Mary F. Reilly and her husband, Ronald; Anthony “Tex” Gonzalez and his wife, Sue (deceased); Dolores Powers and her husband, Robert; Richard Gonzalez and his wife, Kitty; Cathy Reed Pauletto; Tommy Reed and his wife, Lyn; Melvin Reed (deceased) and his wife, Liz; Mickey Reed and his wife, Doris; Wilma Viers and her husband, Steve; Mary Price and her husband, Ken; and Billy Cook and his wife, Melissa; in addition to so very many great, great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews who adored her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany. (973) 887-3235 or visit Visiting Hours will be on Thursday from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
