Joseph H. Wallace passed away on Friday December 29, 2017 at Saint Clare’s Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. He was 71.

He was born and raised in Orange. Joseph lived in Lake Hiawatha for over 46 years.

Joseph served in country proudly during the Vietnam War with the United States Army National Guard from 1965 before being honorably discharged on 1971.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Christine R. (nee- Arcaro); his son: Joseph C. and his wife Jennifer; his daughter: Cynthia R. Cannici and her husband Brian; his sisters: Carol Anen & Joan Kapish; Grandchildren which he was known as Popa Joe to Joseph, Jaclyn, Jake, & Jared Wallace; He was known as JoJo to Nicholas, Julianna, and Thomas Cannici; Joseph was also survived by many nieces and nephews especially Donna Critchely and Patricia Fox. He was also a great father-in-law to Jennifer Wallace and Brian Cannici.

He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved the New York Yankees and Chevrolet. His career began as a mechanic and evolved into being a service manager to several Chevrolet Dealers, especially Hoffman and Warnock Chevrolet Bloomfield & Morristown.

Joseph will be greatly missed by his loving family and friend. May he rest in peace with the Lord.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Liturgy of Christian Burial 9:30am Wednesday January 3, 2018 at the St. Peter the Apostle RC Church. 179 Baldwin Road, Parsippany. Entombment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation is on Tuesday from 4:00pm -8:00pm at the Par-Troy Funeral Home 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany (973) 887-3235.
