Joan M. (nee-Moore) Larson passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. She was 90 years old.
Joan was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York before moving to Lake Hiawatha in 1972.
Joan worked in New York City at J.P. Morgan and then continued working as a Bookkeeper in New Jersey. Later she provided childcare in her home for 20 years.
She was the treasurer for St. Ann’s Senior Club.
Joan was a member of the Ladies Aux of the Elks in Parsippany and also the women’s Aux of American Legion in Lake Hiawatha.
Joan was predeceased by her husband, Vincent R., who passed away on 11/18/1994, her son, Steven C. 12/29/2016, and by her sister, Frances Maratea.
Survivors include her son, Richard V. and his wife, Leslie; her daughter-in-law, Joyce Larson; her 7 grandchildren: Jennifer & her husband, Thomas, Steven & his significant other, Vanessa Delfi, Melissa, Cory & his fiancée, Megan, Shaun, Jesse & his wife, Brandi and Christian; her 10 great-grandchildren: Colin, Alexander, Justin, Sienna, Jarae, Michael, Olivia, Lexy, Caleb, and Brooklyn.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral at 9:00 am on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from the Par-Troy Funeral Home at 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany. Interment: Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. With the Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered at 10:00 am at Saint Ann R.C. Church. 781 Smith Road, Parsippany. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to Autism Speaks 5455 Wilshire Blvd Suite 2250 Los Angeles, CA 90036.
