DATELINE: Waretown

Deacon Henry H. Rohrman Age 79, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at his home.

He was born in Carlstadt and lived in Parsippany for 53 years before moving to Waretown in August 2011.

Henry served on active duty in the United States Army in the First Armored Division in Fort Hood, TX from December 1961 until being honorably discharged in December 1963.

He graduated from Fairleigh Dickenson University, Rutherford Campus, with a Bachelor of Science in Business in May 1972

Henry was ordained a Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church on May 3, 1997. He served at St. Christopher Church in Parsippany and St. Pius X Church in Forked River.

He worked for the Pfizer Company in Clifton and Parsippany for over 34 years before retiring in February 1999 as a District Sales Manager.

Henry was a volunteer court aide for the Superior Court in Morris County from 1999 to 2011.  He also worked for retired Assignment Judge B. Theodore Bozonelis and Superior Court Judge N. Peter Conforti in Morris County.

He was a member of the Selective Service System serving as the Vice-Chairman of Local Draft Board #011 in Ocean County and past Vice Chairman of Local Draft Board #038 in Morris County.

He was also a member of the American Legion Post #232 in Barnegat and the St. Christopher Church Catholic War Veterans Post #1967 in Parsippany.

Henry was predeceased by his mother Eva; his father Henry; and his three brothers: Bernard, Howard, and Richard.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Patricia A. (nee-Young); his son, William; his daughter, Christine Hartmann; his son-in-law, Thomas Hartmann; his two cherished grandchildren: Caitlin Ambrose (nee-Hartmann) and her husband, Anthony and Ryan Hartmann.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Christopher R.C. Church 1050 Littleton Rd, Parsippany. Entombment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, E. Hanover. Visiting hours are on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
