DATELINE: Lake Hiawatha

Maria (nee-Paolini) DeAngelis, Age 97, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at her son’s home.

Maria was born in Italy. She came to the United States on 12/25/1948, moving to Montclair before coming to Lake Hiawatha in 1955.

She was a self employed seamstress.

Maria was a member of the Cosmopolitan Club in Boonton and she was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Church and the Golden Age Club and Rosary Society.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James F. who passed away on 5/28/1982.

Survivors include her son, Emil M. and his wife Allison; her daughter, Adrienne Fiorellino and her husband Paul all of Landing; her four cherished grandchildren: Gina Marie and her companion Ryan O’Hara, Danielle Murrin and her husband James, Jamie and his wife Kayla, and Christopher; and her three treasured great-grandchildren: Sienna, Alexa, and Kaia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 179 Baldwin Rd., Parsippany. Entombment: Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
