Mary Elizabeth ‘Bibit’ DePaul, Age 73, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family after a brief illness.
She was born in Newark and grew up on 15th Avenue. She attended Arts High School and the Barbizon School of Modeling where she earned a certificate of completion. She started her career working at National Newark & Essex Bank, working for many different banks throughout her life. In 1990 she retired from Chemical Bank in Parsippany.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was at her happiest and most proud when surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She loved big dinners and holidays, leaving no room undecorated or any meal not deliciously prepared. She made wonderful memories and friends at the Lake Hiawatha Country Club where she spent many summers in the sun.
She was predeceased by her sister, Grace Neumaier.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Joseph Sr. (Buddy); her daughter, Susan O’ Brien and her husband Patrick; her son Joseph Jr. and his wife Jennifer; and by her grandchildren whom she lovingly referred to as her “6 Pack”: Patrick Jr., Sarah, Shane, Margaret, Anna, and Joseph III.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her funeral on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. from Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Rd., Parsippany, 973-887-3235 or www.partroyfuneralhome.com, with the Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 179 Baldwin Rd., Parsippany. Interment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, E. Hanover. Visiting hours are on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
