Vincent J. Moreno passed away peacefully at his home on October 10, 2021, after a valiant 23-month long battle with lung cancer. He was 79.

Vincent was born on June 30, 1942, in Newark to Pasquale Moreno and Grace Guarino and was raised with his five siblings in Belleville.

He worked extremely hard for his family and built a long and successful career in software development which included serving many years as a Corporate Vice President for ADP in Roseland.

Vincent loved sports and coached both little league baseball and youth soccer teams in Hanover Township. He was an avid New York Giants, Yankees, and Rangers fan. He found the greatest joy in watching his grandchildren participate in their many sports activities in Randolph, including ice hockey, softball, soccer, baseball, basketball, cheerleading, and track. Vincent was undeniably his grandchildren’s biggest fan.

Vincent is predeceased by his parents Pasquale and Grace Moreno, his beloved son, Steven V. Moreno and by his sister, Constance Larcara.

Survivors include his cherished wife of 55 years, Margery (nee-Herstone) Moreno, his devoted daughters, Lauren Mueller and her husband Larry, Kim Brown and her husband, Gary, and by his brothers Cyrus Moreno and his wife, Mariann, Pat Moreno and his wife Barbara, Gerald Moreno and his wife Madeline, and his sister Eleanore Lyman. He was the most proud Papa to his treasured grandchildren, Owen, Ethan, Kaitlyn and Kelsey. Vincent is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, as well as numerous caring friends and neighbors.

Vincent set a tremendous example for his children and grandchildren of the value of perseverance and determination. He exemplified this until the very end.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Liturgy of Christian Burial on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, 90 Whippany Road, Whippany, NJ. Interment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany.
