Frank Lukany passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the age of 70.

He was born in Hungary and moved to the United States in 1956; he lived in Newark & Irvington before moving to Parsippany in 1977.

Frank was an Industrial Pipefitter at Honeywell in Morristown (formally AlliedSignal, the American aerospace automotive and engineering company) for many years before retiring.

He is pre-deceased by his brother, Laszlo Lukanyi of Little Ferry, New Jersey (1/14/1994), parents Rose and Frank Lukany of Denville, New Jersey and brother-in-law John Pilch of Piscataway, New Jersey.

Survivors include his beloved wife, JoAnn (nee-Pilch) Lukany, his sons: Frank P. Lukany & his wife Megan; Steve Almerico & Christopher J. Almerico, and his only daughter, Sandra M. (nee-Lukany) Evaristo. Frank is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Anthony, Gianna, Isabella, Angelina, Michael, Olivia & Julianna.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend an additional visitation on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 am. at Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany, (973)887-3235 or visit His Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. at Notre Dame of Mount Carmel R.C. Church, 75 Ridgedale Avenue Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927. Entombment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visiting hours are on Thursday from 4:00 pm-8:00 p.m. at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, Parsippany, New Jersey. Frank’s favorite charity was the Graymoor Franciscan Friars of the Atonement in New York.
