Joan Andrews passed away peacefully on August 4, 2021 at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. She was 81.

She was born on December 20, 1939 in Manhattan to Stephen Bradley and Elizabeth Applegate.

Joan grew up in Chelsea and moved to Parsippany in 1958 where she raised her family and worked as a custodian at PHHS for over 30 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, being a roadie for her grandson’s band, working at PHHS, playing the slots, doo-wop shows, the boardwalk and crocheting baby blankets.

Joan is predeceased by her husband, Joseph.

Survivors include her daughters, MaryBeth Andruszkiewicz and Linda Sliker and her husband Garrett, her son, Joseph Andrews and his wife Linda, her brother, Stephen and his wife Mary, her sister-in-law, Blanche Zajac and her husband Stephen, her grandchildren, John O’Leary and Chris Latka, Brian and Caitlyn O’Leary, Elizabeth and Andrew Shearin, Katherine Andrews, Michael Sliker and Leanne Tonnon, her great-granddaughter, Audrey Shearin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Graveside Service on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 9:30am at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany, NJ. (973)887-3235.
