Margaret A. Tremper passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the House of the Good Shepherd in Hackettstown. She was 93.

Margaret was born on June 19, 1928 in Teaneck, NJ to August C. Runkel and Maud Nute. She lived in East Hanover for 63 years before moving to Hackettstown.

She worked as a reader for the Burrelle’s Press Clipping Bureau in Livingston for 32 years before retiring in 2004.

Margaret is predeceased by her husband, Nelson L. Tremper, and her three brothers, Howard, August, and Robert Runkel.

Survivors include sons Paul Tremper (Antoinette) of Hackettstown, John Tremper of Newton, her daughter Janette Masterson (Robert) of Glen Gardner, and her grandchildren Jason, Jeremy, Robert, Jennifer, and Kerry, as well as 11 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Liturgy of Christian Burial on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 11:15 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover, followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Par-Troy Funeral Home 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
