Carmine Rufolo passed away at his home on Monday, April 25, 2021. He was 71.

He was born and raised in Newark and graduated from East Side High School in 1968.

Carmine served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1973.

He worked for Capital Lighting in East Hanover as a Warehouse Manager for over 38 years before retiring. He oversaw the setting up of deliveries, returns and all inventories throughout the company stores.

Carmine always enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved going to Wildwood and playing in the arcade with all the kids. Every place he went, he would start a conversation or talk on the phone for hours with family or friends. He also enjoyed going to the racetrack with his “racetrack buddies”. Most of all he loved to eat.

He is predeceased by his parents; Carmen J. and Margaret (nee-Palasti) Rufolo .

Survivors included: his beloved wife, Diane M. (nee- Accaria) Rufolo, his son Michael and his girlfriend, Fatimah Hassan, his daughter, Jennifer and her boyfriend Ariel Guzman, his brother, Steve Rufolo and his wife Anna, his sister, Amelia Pecora, his nieces and nephews; Debbie and Kevin McBride, Stephen and Luciana Rufolo, Marisa and Brian Jackson, Kimberley and Phil Di Parisi, his great nieces and nephews, Michael, Joseph, Joshua, Scarlett, Jayce and Dominic, and his grand puppies, Vinny and Ricky.

Family and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 7:30p.m. at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany.(973) 887-3235 or visit Cremation: Private. Visiting hours are on Friday April 30, 2021 from 4:00pm-8:00pm. In lieu of flowers please make bets in his memory at the Meadowlands RaceTrack.

Following current Covid-19 guidelines, masks and social distancing are required at both the viewing and funeral service. The family acknowledges and understands that many are uncomfortable attending public gatherings and may be unable to attend. We ask that you keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
