Obituaries » Cynthia E. (nee-Lynch) Connington

Cynthia E. (nee-Lynch) Connington passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 25, 2021. She was 51.

She was born on June 3, 1969 to Robert Lynch and Margaret “Peggy” Hoffman and grew up in Rockaway along with her 3 sisters.

Cynthia was the heart of her family and was dedicated to her husband, children and her dog Daisy, whom she loved very much. Her children and her husband were her best friends and she enjoyed doing everything with them. Cynthia and Shawn were the type of couple that genuinely enjoyed spending time with each other. Some would even say they completed each other in so many ways. Cynthia was the type of person that would drop anything in a heartbeat to do something for someone else. She was always there to give a hug, text or just a listening ear to her nieces and nephews. She often looked at every point of view and thought of others when she spoke. Cynthia was someone who we all should strive to be like; she was one of the most genuine people in the world. She truly was a special woman, who will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

Cynthia is predeceased by her father, Robert Lynch and her sister, Kathy Corbett.

Survivors include: her beloved husband, Shawn Connington, her children: Dillan, Brandon and Ashley, Dillan’s longtime girlfriend, Hayley Schrack, her mother, Margaret Hoffman, and her sisters; Carole Leonard & her husband Jim, and Tricia Lynch-Smith and her husband Joe.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered at 10:00a.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Sacred Heart Church, 63 East Main Street, Rockaway. Interment: Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 5:00PM-8:00p.m. at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany. (973)887-3235. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, #301 Robbinsville, NJ 08691.

Following current Covid-19 guidelines, masks and social distancing are required at both the viewing and funeral service.
