Obituaries » Stephanie A. (nee-Kelemen) O'Hare

Stephanie Ann O’Hare (née Kelemen), 71, of Cedar Knolls, New Jersey passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of April 22, 2021 after a long illness.

She was born as a twin in Belleville, New Jersey to Stephen and Eleanor Kelemen. She attended Belleville High School and graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in music – which always played a prominent and important role in her life. In 1981, she met the love of her life, Robert O’Hare, and they quickly married soon after in July of 1982. After residing in Verona, New Jersey for a number of years, they moved to the Cedar Knolls section of Hanover Township where they built a loving home and raised their two daughters. She worked as an executive assistant for many companies over the years, but her true passion was raising her girls at home.

She was an active member of Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Church where she served on countless committees and sang enthusiastically in the choir. She dedicated much of her time to volunteering with various organizations over the years and always went above and beyond to help others.

Stephanie is survived by her loving husband, Robert; her daughters: Meghan O’Hare and husband, Hany Ibrahim, and Allison Edmunds and husband, Frank; her sister, Sharon Palmer and husband, Robert; her three adorable grandchildren: Lee, Genevieve, and Catherine Edmunds; and a loving circle of extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Church, 75 Ridgedale Avenue, Cedar Knolls, NJ. Interment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany, NJ. (973) 887-3235.
