Joseph V. DeMaio passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021. He was 63.
Joey was born in Morristown and lived in Whippany before settling in Rockaway, NJ.
Joseph devoted his life to building his father’s empire and dream, DeMaio’s bar and restaurant, Anchor swim club and Anchor Golfland.
He was a jack of all trades, ending his career as a Glaser. He was always willing to help out, whether you need a window put in or a roof on your house, all you had to do was call and Joey would be there.
He was pre-deceased by daughter, Gina Marie who passed away on September 27, 2012; his parents: Anthony ‘Ted’ and Eleanor DeMaio; his brothers: Teddy and Mickey; and his sisters: Judy, Patti and Susie.
Survivors include his daughter, Denise; his sons: Joe, Nick and Teddy; his granddaughter: Gigi DeMaio, his brother, Frank; & his sisters, Carol Pitt, Donna Albore, and Madeline Krawse; Joey is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial gathering on Saturday, April 10th 2021 from 11:00a.m. – 12 Noon at the Par-Troy Funeral Home. 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany.
