Arthur D. Poquette passed away on Saturday, March 27th 2021 at Morris View Healthcare Center in Morris Township. He was 84.
Arthur was born and raised in Newark. He lived in West Orange and Livingston before moving to Parsippany 45 years ago.
He proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Randolph during the Korean Conflict from June 24, 1954 until being honorably discharged on June 23, 1958.
Arthur was a State Inspector for the Department of Community Affairs in Trenton for many years before retiring.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 155 in Whippany and the VFW Post 5351 also in Whippany where he was the Captain of the VFW Color Guard.
Art was predeceased by his parents: Arthur and Helen Poquette, and his brothers: Alan and Bob Poquette.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha ‘Marcy’; his sons: Darren and his wife, Carol, Scott and his wife, Bunny, Andrew and his wife, Tiffany; his daughter, Tracey Coba and her husband, Galo Sr.; his brothers, Keith Poquette and Neal Poquette and his husband, Jim Smith; his grandchildren: Jenn, Haley Mangieri and her husband, Scott, Galo Jr., Michele, Kyle, Emmy, Kacey, Demi and Drew.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Visitation on Tuesday, March 30th 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Par-Troy Funeral Home. 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany.
