Michele L. (nee-Toscano) Martello passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. She was 89.

Michele was born on August 12, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY to James Toscano and Claire Della Cava. She grew up in Brooklyn and moved to Kinnelon where she lived for nearly 30 years, finally residing in Montville.

She was a Paraprofessional and a valued member of the Carrico Associates team in Fairfield, NJ for over 35 years.

Above all else, Michele loved and cared for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed nothing more than big family gatherings. Holiday planning was a great source of pride. Most especially Christmas Eve, which was always an even, with family, friends and neighbors invited in until the wee hours of the morning. Michele loved her “second family” at Carrico Associates and enjoyed going to work every day until the day she retired. When she was not working, she had traveled to many islands and resorts, and finally had the opportunity to travel to Italy, a much longed for trip.

Michele is predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years Alexander Martello II and her son, James Martello.
Survivors include her sons Alexander Martello III and his wife, Mary Ann and Paul W. Martello, her daughter-in-law Sheila DiOrio, and her cherished grandchildren, Marisa Smolen and her husband Justin, Alex Martello IV and his wife Brittany, James Martello, Thomas Martello, Nicholas Preston.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Liturgy of Christian Burial on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Pius X Church, 24 Changebridge Road, Montville, NJ 07045. Entombment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 2:00-5:00 P.M. at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany. (973)887-3235.
