Joseph Keith Sharkey, age 58, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2021 at home.
Joseph was born in St. Mary’s Hospital in Orange, NJ on March 5th, 1962 and he lived with his family in the Vailsburg Section of Newark before moving to Parsippany.
Graduating from Irvington Vocational and Technical High School he entered an apprenticeship program with the Operating Engineers Local 68. Upon completion of this apprenticeship he worked for many years at Seton Hall University as an operating engineer/electrician.
Joseph moved – with his Brother Michael to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany in 1988.
Joseph is predeceased by his parents Thomas J. Sharkey Sr. and Virginia (nee-Wilson), his sisters Virginia L. Roman and Marian Curran, his Brothers, Patrick T., John k., James D., and Michael B. Sharkey.
Joseph is survived by his brother Thomas J. Sharkey Jr., his sister Karen Mancusso Del Ricco and her husband John, his Brother-in-law Stephen J. Roman Sr. and sister-in-law’s Jo
Anne Sharkey and Anna Sharkey.
Joseph will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews for his Irish Sense of humor and kind, caring and compassionate heart.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Friday January 15, 2021 from 10:30am – 12:30pm at the Par-Troy Funeral Home 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany (973) 887-3235 or visit us at www.partroyfuneralhome.com. Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00pm at St. Mary’s R.C. Church 15 Myers Ave, Denville. Interment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
