James J. Lawrence passed away on Thursday, April 9th 2020 at Lincoln Park Care Center in Lincoln Park. He was 92.
James was born and raised in Forest City, Pennsylvania. He lived in Newark for 16 years before moving to Lake Hiawatha in 1957.
James proudly served in the United States Navy before also serving in the United States Army where he was stationed in Europe during the Korean War from January 3, 1952 until being honorably discharged on December 4, 1953.
He was the Field Housing Inspector for the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills for 20 years before retiring in 1990.
James was pre-deceased by his wife, Lucille (nee-Washich) who passed away on October 12, 2000; his son, James J. who passed away on January 24, 2012 and most recently, his daughter-in-law, Amy who just passed away on October 26, 2020.
Survivors include his grandchildren: David and Jessica; and his companion, Eleanor Esposito and her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Gathering from 12 noon – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5th 2020 with a Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m. at Par-Troy Funeral Home. 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany.
