James Robert Farrell passed away on Friday October 23, 2020 at his home. He was 49.

He was born in Englewood and grew up in Parsippany. James lived in North Carolina and Bayonne before moving to Bloomfield three years ago.

James studied culinary arts at Sullivan Community College went on to have a career as a chef in various restaurants and catering companies in North Carolina, New York and New Jersey.

He is pre-deceased by his late brother: Thomas P. who passed away on 1/13/2015.

Survivors include his loving wife: Hui “Mimi” Lin; his father: Michael P.; his mother: Eileen D. (nee-Devine); his daughter: Lin Yan Jing; his brother: Michael P. Jr. and his wife Christine; his sister: Cathleen F. Rodriguez and her husband John; Kelly F. Malone and her husband Charles, Colleen F. Martin and her husband Matthew; his sister-in-law: Cortney Farrell; his grandson: Ni Yan Xun; his nieces & nephews: Shannon, Connor, Morgane, Fiona, Tara, John, Nolan, Elise, Brianna, Eavan and Shayna.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Tuesday October 27, 2020 5:00pm – 7:00pm with service to follow at the Par-Troy Funeral Home 95 Parsippany (973) 887-3235. Interment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

Following current Covid-19 guidelines, masks and social distancing are required. The family acknowledges and understands that many are still uncomfortable to attend public gatherings and will be unable to attend the visitation. We ask that you keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
