Obituaries » Susan Ali
Susan (nee-Kovalycsik) Ali passed away on May 8, 2020 at the Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center. She was 66 years old.
Susan was born in Passaic, grew up in Garfield, and chose to raise her family in Lake Hiawatha, NJ. Upon retiring she moved to Morganton, NC to be near her sisters and returned back to New Jersey when her grandsons were born.
Susan was a Homemaker who also worked as a Nurse Aid & Pre-School Teacher for many years. She was an avid reader who loved her pets and cheering on the NY Giants but nothing gave her more joy than being the best Nana to her 10 grandsons.
She is survived by her 4 children and their spouses: Victoria Fernandez (Lorenzo Jr.) Jason, Kyle, and Rachael Brookes (Randy); her ex-husband George S. Ali; her siblings and their spouses: Nicholas Kovalycsik (Peggy), Jess Kovalycsik (Barbara), Joann Heyden (Richard) , Gail Kovalycsik and sister-in-law Kristi Kiger as well as many nieces/nephews and their families.
Susan is also survived by her 10 cherished grandsons: Dylan, Tyler, Hunter, Austyn, Chase, Colton, Bryce, Ayden, Lorenzo III & George. These boys kept her on her toes and she enjoyed nothing more than cheering them on and sharing in their accomplishments.
Donations can be made in her memory to JSUMC Foundation – Prostate Cancer and mailed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center Foundation, 1340 Campus Parkway, Suite C4, Neptune, NJ 07753 in honor of her Oncologist Dr. Kenneth Nahum & Ann Nahum RN to whom we are eternally grateful for all their efforts over these past 4 years enabling her to be a part of her families milestones.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Par-Troy Funeral Home 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany or visit us at www.partroyfuneralhome.com .
A memorial to celebrate her life will be held at a later date once it’s safe for family & friends to congregate
