Obituaries » Lisa (nee-Agostino) Grabas

Lisa passed away suddenly on Sunday April 12th, 2020 at Morristown Medical Center due to complications after a short illness. She was 64 years old.

Lisa was born in Jersey City, NJ on April 18th 1955 to her loving parents, Melanie and Joe Agostino. She resided on 64th Street in West New York, NJ with her family. After graduating Memorial High School, she went to Xray School to follow her dreams of being an X-Ray Tech.

She married the love of her life Tony, on November 19th 1983, they lived and started their family in Belleville, NJ, then moved to Whippany, NJ, living here for the past 26 years.

Her career as a Radiologic Technologist spanned over 40 years with a specialty in taking care of children that she loved very much.

She was an incredible cook and for those who know, “it’s gravy, not sauce.” She loved Rock Music and was always wearing some kind of band t-shirt and jeans. She was a die-hard New York Yankees fan and loved spending summers in her pool.

Lisa was a loving wife, mother, aunt, cousin and friend. She had a contagious smile and laugh, her radiant personality was truly one of kind and would make friends with anyone she came in contact with. She was a “Jersey Girl” and made sure everyone knew that.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Tony; her 3 children: Anthony, Casey and Jessie who she loved very much; her “fur babies”, Benny and Chewie; her brother, Frank and his wife, Aliza; her beloved cousins: Ro and her husband, Larry, Johnnie Boy, Nora and her husband, William & Pattie and her husband, John; her brother-in-law, Gary and his wife, Harriet; her niece, Eileen; her nephew, Billy; Johnnie Boy’s children: John and his wife, Toni (their children: John and Anthony) & Jennifer (& her son, Matthew); Lisa is also survived by her entire extended family in Massachusetts, countless friends and co-workers who she loved.

Due to the circumstances of gatherings, we will have a memorial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lisa’s name to Employment Horizons, 10 Ridgedale Ave, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.

We love you up to the sky and back down again, rest in the sweetest peace.
