Richard M. Pogorzelski passed away on January 2, 2020, peacefully at his home with family by his side. He was 90.

He was born in Bayonne, NJ the son of Michael Pogorzelski & Loretta (nee-Brzostowski).

Richard lived in Lake Parsippany and Montville before moving to Fairfield over 50 years ago.

He worked for American Can Company in Jersey City before starting a second career as a manager for Owen-Illinois Printing in North Bergen, NJ. He was also a home builder in the Parsippany/Fairfield area

Richard was a long-time member of the Elk’s in Fairfield, he was a Giants and Boxing fan, loved Willy Nelson & old Country music.

He is pre-deceased by his grandson, Jason Pelusio.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 69 years Frances (nee-Carey) Pogorzelski, his 5 loving and supporting daughters: Carol Pogorzelski-Harrison & her husband Ron, Theresa Pogorzelski-Lardieri & her fiancé Sal, Diane Pogorzelski-Saponara & her boyfriend Tim, Lori Pogorzelski-Ubertaccio & her husband Glenn & Lisa Pogorzelski-Boudreau & her husband John. Richard is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Par-Troy Funeral Home. 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany.
