Harry V. Hicks passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11th 2019 at his home. He was 79.
He was born in Newark and grew up in Maplewood before moving to Parsippany 51 years ago.
Harry was a loving husband and father and worked hard to provide for his family. He was a retired Railroad Conductor for NJ Transit. In his free time he enjoyed being a referee & umpire for many sports. He also proudly served his country in the United States Air Force where he served for four years before being honorably discharge in 1962 .
He is predeceased by his sister, Rose Mary Le Grand.
Survivors include his loving wife, Ann Marie (nee-Mutascio); his four children – Michael and his wife Terry, Peggy and her husband Rich, Robert and his wife Jill, Laura and her husband John; his twin brother, Ronald Hicks and his wife Mary Jane; he is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: RJ, Alexa, Stephanie, Ben, Amanda, Jenna, Nick, Ariana & Madison.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered Friday, December 20th 2019 at 11:00a.m. at Saint Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 179 Baldwin Rd, Parsippany, NJ 07054. Cremation: Private. Visiting hours are on Thursday, December 19th 2019 from 4:00pm-8:00p.m. at the Par-Troy Funeral Home. 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany.
