Joseph D. Cannella, 88, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Hackettstown Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Joseph was born in Fairview. He was raised in Union City and lived in Montville and Lake Hiawatha before settling in Hackettstown in 2002.

Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Army until being honorably discharged.

He was an Aerospace Engineer for Kearfott in Little Falls and has been enjoying retirement for the last 28 years. Joseph loved traveling, spending time at his beach house, and enjoyed quality time with his family and friends.

Joseph was predeceased by his beloved wife, Doris G. (nee-Poletti) on 4/20/2000.

Survivors include his son, David J. and his wife Viola; his daughters: Karen A. Singh, Joanne Cannella, and Lisa A. Lane and her husband David; his 10 cherished grandchildren and 10 treasured great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visiting hours on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Rd., Parsippany, 973-887-3235, or www.partroyfuneralhome.com. Entombment and chapel service will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
