They knew each other their whole lives and were married for 69 years, she left him just a week ago, but he obviously needed to be with her, if not here on earth, in their new home in heaven….Clifford J. Pizzi, Sr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 26th at his home in Hackettstown surrounded by his children. He was 91.

Cliff was born and raised in Newark. He and his wife Angie moved to Pine Brook in 1956 where they raised their three children. They moved to Hackettstown two years ago.

Cliff owned and operated his own roofing company for more than 45 years until he retired in 2002. Cliff was one of the two youngest men in New Jersey to enlist in the Army at the age of 17. He served his country during WWII and was proud to do it.

Cliff is predeceased by his wife Angie Pizzi; his parents Adolph & Rose Pizzi; his sister Irene Ruotolo and her husband John.

Survivors include his three children: Clifford Pizzi, Jr. and wife Silvia; Randy Pizzi and wife Lisa; Lisa DeChino and husband Rick. His five grandchildren: Clifford Pizzi, III, Danica Pizzi, Kyle Pizzi, Nick DeChino and his fiancé Samantha and Alex DeChino. His nieces, nephews and their children.

The family would also like to thank the staff of Paragon Village for all their compassion and care.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend his visitation Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon at Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Rd, Parsippany, 973-887-3235 or www.partroyfuneralhome.com. A funeral service will follow at 12 noon. Interment: Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair.
