Eugene T. Caulfield, 78, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan.
He was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. He lived in San Francisco, CA and then returned to Brooklyn before moving to Parsippany, NJ 48 years ago.
Eugene proudly served his country in the United States Army from 3/25/1963 until being honorably discharged on 3/24/1965.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Fordham University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Adelphi University. For 14 years he worked at the American Stock Exchange, beginning in 1970 and finishing as vice president for floor operations. He then moved to the Securities Industry Automation Corporation and to Quotron, the financial data distribution company that became part of Reuters where he finished his career.
Eugene was a Member and Fire Commissioner of the Rainbow Lakes Volunteer Fire Department, District #2 for 48 years. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus #3359, Lady of the Lakes.
He was predeceased by his son, Kevin Patrick in 1965.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Kathryn M. (nee-Kingston); his sons: Eugene G. and his wife Michelle and Christopher G. and his wife Deborah; his daughters: Tricia K. Monteyne and her husband Mark and Kerrie M. Caulfield-Boland and her husband Kevin; and his 13 cherished grandchildren: Nicole Caulfield, Gianna Caulfield, Owen Caulfield, Emily Caulfield, Mark Monteyne, Luke Monteyne, Annalise Caulfield, Molly Monteyne, Logan Monteyne, Evan Caulfield, Kyle Boland, Kevin Boland, and Kayla Boland.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at St. Catherine of Siena RC Church, Mountain Lakes. Interment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Rd., Parsippany, 973-887-3235, or www.partroyfuneralhome.com.
