John ‘Wheels’ Bernard Wheelwright III passed away peacefully Tuesday January 29, 2019 surrounded by his family.
John was born in Parsippany on November 13, 1959. He graduated Parsippany High in 1978, and moved to Byram in 1985.
John loved everything in life. Nature, adventures, chasing bears, messing with alligators, movie marathons with his family, embarrassing his daughters in public, the Jets and the Mets (poor guy).
He is survived by his wife Janine Marie (nee-Armstrong); his daughters: Shannon M. Machler and her husband Erich, Kayla E. Schmidt and her husband Chris, and Corinne J. Wheelwright; his brother Randy and his wife Denise; his sister Darlene Mele and her husband Al; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. He also has six wonderful granddogs and a grandson on the way!
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A celebration of life will follow at the Forest Lakes Club House from 2:30 to 6:00 p.m.
