John ‘Johnny’ Williams passed away after a long courageous battle with ALS on Sunday, December 30th 2018 at his home with his loving wife, Roxi by his side. He was 58 years young.

John was born and raised in Jersey City. He lived in West Milford and Pompton Plains before moving to Bridgewater 13 years ago.

In 1978, John graduated from St. Anthony High School in Jersey City.

He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force where he served as a Security Specialist with the Military Police from 1979 until being honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant in 1988.

John was a dedicated Police Officer with the AMTRAK Police Department in New York City.

He was a member of the National Fraternal Order of Police.

John was a loyal fan to his beloved NY Mets and Dallas Cowboys.

Survivors include his wife, Roxanne ‘Roxi’; his mother, Marie D. (nee-DiMatteo); his brothers, Thomas ‘Tim’ and his wife, Renee & Carl and his wife, Gina; his 5 nieces and nephews and his great nephew.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 5th 2018 at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church. 90 Whippany Road, Whippany. Interment: St. Mary’s Cemetery, Whippany. Visiting hours are on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Par-Troy Funeral Home. 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany.
