Robert J. Kanaley Sr. passed away on Wednesday October 31, 2018 at Bristol Glen in Newton. He was 92.
He was born and raised in Orange. Robert lived in Irvington and in Parsippany for 62 years before moving to Newton.
Robert served his country proudly during World War II with the United States Navy from 1/4/1944 before being honorably discharged on 1/13/1946.
He was a lab technician for Resistolflex Corp. in Roseland for many years before retiring.
Robert is pre-deceased by his late daughter Jacquelyn who passed away in May of 1967 and his late brothers: Joseph Jr. & Thomas Kanaley.
Survivors include his loving wife: Ruth L. (nee-Lane); his sons: Robert J. Jr.; Edward F.; Thomas G.; Joseph F.; and James E.; his daughters: Ruth I. and Frances Mary Kanaley; his brother: John Kanaley; his twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Liturgy of Christian burial to be offered at 10: 00 am on Monday November 6, 2018 at St. Ann RC Church 781 Smith Road, Parsippany. Interment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Robert’s Visitation will be on Sunday evening from 5:00 – 7:00pm at the Par-Troy Funeral Home 95 Parsippany Road Parsippany (973) 887-325 or visit us at www.partroyfuneralhome.com.
