Beatrice “Bea” “Grandma” M. (nee-Coughlin) Hunnicutt passed away Sunday October 21, 2018 at Newton Medical Center. She was 86.
She was born in Shenandoah, Pa and grew up in Newark, NJ. Beatrice moved to Irvington for 10 years after she was married, then moved to Parsippany in 1967 before moving to Andover in 2014.
Beatrice was an administrator in the clerk’s office for the Township of Parsippany before retiring in 1999.
Everyone who had the pleasure of meeting Bea will remember her warm smile and her generosity and kindness. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She was an unassuming lady who epitomized graciousness and hospitality. She was the queen of crossword puzzles and Jeopardy and shared her knowledge with all. She was a role model for her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is pre-deceased by her late husband: Charles C. Sr. who passed away on 10/5/2008; her parents: John & Beatrice Coughlin; her brother: John Coughlin; her sister Baby Coughlin; and her second mother who raised her, Agnes Coughlin.
Survivors include; her sons: William & his wife Laura, & Charles C. Jr. & his wife Sarah; her daughters: Eileen H. Stout and her husband Douglas, & Diane Perez & her husband Michael; her sisters: Mary Tackett, and Catherine Mathison and her husband Don; her grandchildren: Christina Wyka and her husband Thomas, Stephen, Matthew, Rachel, Jonathan, Samantha, David, Heather, and Tarah.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral on Friday, October 26th 2018 at 8:30a.m. from the Par-Troy Funeral Home. 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany. (973)887-3235. With the Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered at 10:00a.m. at St. Christopher R.C. Church. 1050 Littleton Road, Parsippany. Interment: Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. Visiting hours are on Thursday from 4:00-8:00p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to the American Heart Association 1 Union Street (Suite #301), Robbinsville, NJ 08691
