Obituaries » Alicia A. (nee-Moramarco) Facchino
On September 2, 2018, Alicia Ann Facchino (nèe Moramarco) passed peacefully from this world to the next surrounded by those who loved her most. Alicia was a shining light and a beautiful soul that touched the hearts of everyone she met.
She was born in Newark, NJ and grew up in Parsippany until she moved to Belleville and began her family.
Family was the most important thing in the world to her and she was fiercely proud of the one she was given. At 28 years old, Alicia was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis but you would never know of her illness based on her joyful demeanor and unwavering faith. Despite her failing body, Alicia never wallowed in self pity and instead used her own experiences to help countless others. She spent the last eleven years as a resident at Bergen Regional Medical Center where she touched the hearts of both staff and patients alike. Everyone who knew her could see the beautiful spirit she had and she inspired each of us to spread light and joy.
Alicia is survived by her darling son Anthony Facchino, and his wife Rhiannon, along with her beloved daughter Noelle Facchino. Her loving parents, Thomas and Catherine Moramarco, were present for her first breath and were able to be there for her last. Her brother Thomas Moramarco Jr. and sister Gina Rallo, along with her nieces and nephews, always brought joy into her life. Her cherished granddaughters, Lily and Maddie Facchino were her pride and joy.
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Alicia but her spirit and her message of hope will live on in all of us forever. On Saturday September 8, 2018, we will gather to remember our angel at the Par-Troy Funeral Home 95 Parsippany Road in Parsipanny (973) 887-3235 between 2:00pm and 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society (The Greater New Jersey Chapter) 1 Kalisa Way (Suite 205) Paramus, NJ 07652 which was a charity near and dear to Alicia’s heart.
